Nursery and Preschools

Castle Day Nursery

Angola Ho/Angola Rd, Worthing BN14 8DU, UK – 01903 234679

My son loves going to nursery (so much so that if we pass by he gets quite upset to know he's not going in!). The staff are friendly, approachable and accommodating, and the children are always busy doing activities or playing outside. I would recommend the Castle Day Nursery and am pleased we chose it.

Has truly changed my autistic sons life, they are amazing staff in a wonderful setting.

Dolphins

73 Chesswood Rd, Worthing BN11 2AB, UK – 01903 537755

Highly recommend! My daughter love going to nursery. Seeing my daughter, how she develop her skills, social behaviour and confident. She learned so many things (counting, identify colours, writing & creativity in art). They also teach children the diversity( different languages & culture of other countries). Which I'm so impressed that my daughter know how to sing in different dialect. Nicole and her staffs are very helpful, supportive and friendly.

I highly recommend this nursery! Fabulous! My son has been there for just a few months & is so happy. From the moment we walked in ( & i turned up unannounced) , we were made so welcome and all the children came and said hello to my son and took him off to play while i talked to Nicole & Ronea. He was even offered to join them at snack time. I especially love the diversity of the nursery & the fact they are so flexible with shift patterns of parents. The staff are fabulous & the nursery doesnt have a high staff turnover which is a positive in my eyes. The nursery has everything your child could want. If a few things look a bit old, its irrelevant, its all about the quality of care, the interaction, the development of the child & this is in abundance at Dolphins. I love getting my daily sheet to see what my son has been up to for the day & the food has a 5* rating. My son loves emptying his box and bringing home his creations. His development in the last few months is amazing. I love seeing him so happy there & sometimes struggle to get him to leave at night!! :-) In August, there has been a planned event every Thursday away from the Nursery which is great & an opportunity for parents to attend. The "Graduation Party" they arranged for the children leaving to go to school clearly had a lot of thought put into it. Highly recommend!

Hedgehog House Nursery

8 Homefield Rd, Worthing BN11 2HZ, UK – 01903 209922

Brilliant nursery! My daughter loves it here and the owners and staff are so accommodating. Perfect place :) A year on and I'm still so impressed. My daughter has loved her time here but she will leave for school soon. There is plenty of room indoors and outdoors with a most fantastic large garden to play in. They learn gardening and have a butterfly release program. It's completely different and refreshing from other nurseries that have got so big they have many classes. I think this is not good for such young ones to adapt and learn in such busy large nurseries.

All 3 of my kids absolutely loved going to this nursery. Kate, Lynn and the team are fantastic. The facilities, equipment and outside play areas are brilliant.

It was alright I made new friends along the way

My daughter has been going to Chesswood Middle School for over a year and all the teaching staff are faultless, they show motivation and give praise and encouragement to my daughter throughout. It is well managed by the deputy and headmaster and the friendly atmosphere within makes for great learning for all ages. My daughter has flourished in her education and has learnt so much in her time there already, and is keen to get there every morning for more learning. If I had more children they would without doubt go to Chesswood without question. Thank you all for your support throughout.

Whytemead Primary School

Dominion Rd, Worthing BN14 8LH, UK – 01903 202639

Whytemead Primary is such a lovely, friendly, community school. It is obvious that the teaching staff love their job and are passionate about giving the children the best experience they possibly can - definitely not just about ticking boxes! There is an active and dedicated PTA and parents and carers get involved in all the school events and activities. Our two children are very happy there - what more could you want?

Whytemead Primary School is a fantastic school. It has a lovely community village feel. It is a small school and as a result, every child is known by all the staff. It is clear to see how much the staff care and as such my child loves school and enjoys learning. He feels safe, secure and happy.

Public & Preparatory Schools

Sompting Abbotts Preparatory School

Church Ln, Sompting, Lancing BN15 0AZ, UK – 01903 235960

My daughter just loves school at Sompting Abbotts and even misses school during the holidays! This is mostly down to the great teachers they have working there, who know how to best engage with each individual child and bring out the best in them. The grounds are fantastic, lots of space for the children to roam and good sports equipment too. Musical abilities are encouraged and tailored to each child. The fact that wrap around care (before and after school) is provided has also been so beneficial for us. There's a wonderful family friendly atmosphere so the children feel comfortable, this is balanced well with professionalism and respect for all. I highly recommend this school for your child.

My daughter goes here...amazing school where every child is treated as an individual. The academic teaching is excellent...along with strong focus on arts, sports and music. Finish this off with traditional values and amazing grounds ..I really recommend this school as a great start for your child.

Lancing College

My daughter has grown tenfold in confidence as well as academically whilst attending Lancing College. She has turned into a beautiful young woman who we are enormously proud of thanks in part to the dedication of the staff and her fellow pupils.

Lovely Chapel. Looks brilliant and great landmark for lancing. Chapel open to public.
